It looks like the gossip rags have gotten tired of reheating old Jennifer Aniston romance rumors – so now they’ve done the classy thing and started to speculate that she has an alcohol problem.

“Rehab Fears for Jen,” announces the cover of Now Magazine, insisting that the star’s “tight-knit circle of girlfriends have told her she needs to cut back on her boozing and if that means rehab, so be it.” A so-called “friend” tells the tab, “Jen’s perspective is that it’s better to have two or three glasses of red wine than to take a sleeping pill to get to sleep,” and also alleges, “The other day, she was tipsy and ranting at friends about Angelina Jolie.”

Gossip Cop can’t recall ever seeing Aniston sloppy or hearing people whine about her wining. Of course, buried deep in the story are references to Aniston’s healthy lifestyle – including her yoga and weight training regimens, as well as a healthy diet.

For what it’s worth, Aniston’s rep said of the story, “Of course it’s bogus – it’s from Now Magazine.”
