“McConaughey Battling with Baby Mama,” is the headline of a piece in the National Enquirer.
According to the supermarket tab, at the suggestion of her own mom, Camila Alves is pressuring Matthew McConaughey to have some sort of financial agreement drawn up since the two are not married. (Alves gave birth three weeks ago to the couple’s second child, a girl named Vida. They have an 18-month-old son named Levi.)
A so-called “source” tells the Enquirer, “Camila’s mother is… worried that since they are not married, Matthew could leave her daughter high and dry with two kids if he falls out of love with her.” The same source relates that when Alves brought up the idea of a deal, “Matthew exploded. He said, ‘I’ll always take care of our babies — and you!’”
And, says the unnamed source, all this talk of a financial agreement has “caused a rift between them.”
Gossip Cop could find nothing to substantiate the Enquirer’s claims. Nothing. And a rep for McConaughey didn’t mince words either, calling the article “all BS.”
We’re sure the tabloid will have a follow-up piece in the upcoming weeks, featuring the (quite happy) couple smiling, along with a fabricated headline like, “Masking Their Financial Fights.”
