T.I. Back in Jail Just a Day After Being Released from Prison

T.I. is back in federal custody, just a day after being released from prison.

The rapper’s lawyer, Steve Sadow, says he’s now in an Atlanta penitentiary because of an issue involving his trip on a luxury bus from the Arkansas jail to an Atlanta halfway house on Wednesday.

“There appears to be confusion surrounding the method of transportation,” says Sadow.

T.I.’s attorney notes the issue was not drug-related, and that he’s trying to resolve the problem as quickly as possible, so that T.I. can return to the halfway house.

The singer was sent to prison last year for a probation violation after he and his wife Tameka Cottle were arrested on drug charges.

UPDATE: Prison officials took issue with T.I. making the trip in a tour bus because he had told them he would be traveling in a van.
