Sylvester Stallone NOT Making Female ‘Expendables’ Movie ‘Expendabelles,’ Despite Reports
Sylvester Stallone is not working on a female version of the Expendables called the Expendaballes, despite reports. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct the claim. We’re told his involvement is “categorically not true.”
According to a new report in the New York Daily News which was picked up by others outlets, Stallone and his co-stars “may soon need to make room for an all-female edition of their ‘Expendables’ franchise.” The paper says Stallone’s pal and co-star, retired mixed martial artist Randy Couture, told the tabloid, “A female version of the super soldier franchise is in the works.”
The publication noted, “Couture also tells us that an Expendables sequel featuring the usual suspects of tough guys is in the works too, but Stallone is putting ladies first.” The outlet further quoted Couture as saying that a fourth Expendables film is being “pushed back,” possibly to make room for the all-female Expendabelles.
But it’s all untrue. Stallone has absolutely nothing to do with the proposed movie Expendabelles, which has been mentioned for years, but doesn’t seem to have gone anywhere. Regardless or whether or not it ever becomes a reality, Stallone is not attached to the project at all.
A rep for the actor exclusively tells Gossip Cop, “Sylvester Stallone has no involvement whatsoever in the Expendabelles project. Any and all reports that he plans to proceed with an all-female cast of the Expendables franchise are completely false and should be disregarded altogether.”
