VIRAL VIDEO: Air Force Airman’s Surprise Proposal At Airport Gate, With Help From Passengers
Emma Trabue got more than she expected when she welcomed home Air Force airman Jon Greko at Detroit Metro Airport shortly before Christmas. As Trabue waited with a sign for Greko to get off the plane, passenger after passenger handed her roses as they exited. Finally, Greko himself appeared with a bouquet, dropped down to one knee, and proposed. Check out the viral video below!
Trabue’s sister Kelsey posted the clip to YouTube and explained that her future brother-in-law had actually asked Trabue to marry her over the phone while he was at basic training. But he wanted to chance to “properly propose” in person, so he arranged for the memorable experience with the help of the Delta Airlines crew. Trabue was allowed to welcome home Greko in the gate area thanks to a special security pass arranged through the airline.
Greko thought it would be romantic to have a parade of fellow passengers hand Trabue roses as they walked through the gate area. Trabue was overwhelmed, but frustrated that her fiancé wasn’t appearing himself. When he did emerge, Greko made her wait worthwhile, formally asking Trabue to marry him as a crowd of strangers cheered. All together now: Aww!
