Katie Holmes Yelled At Tom Cruise For Offering Movie Role To Suri?
Katie Holmes did NOT yell at Tom Cruise for supposedly offering their daughter Suri a role in one of his upcoming movies, despite a fictitious tabloid report. Gossip Cop can exclusively correct this claim. We’re told there’s “no truth” to it.
According to the National Enquirer, the movie star was recently talking to his 10-year-old daughter over the phone and brought up the prospect of her acting. A so-called “source” tells the magazine, “Tom really blew it during a recent chat when he casually asked Suri if she’d like to be in one of his films. After hanging up, Suri excitedly told Mom, ‘Daddy wants me to be in his movies!'” The tabloid’s seemingly made-up insider goes on to say Holmes furiously called Cruise up and screamed, “That’s the worst idea you’ve ever had!”
The outlet’s alleged source further contends, in oddly unnatural language, “As Tom stammered it was all hypothetical, Katie snarled that a showbiz career is the last thing Suri needs at her tender age and ripped Tom for making her the ‘bad cop,’ forced to decree that daddy-daughter movies ain’t gonna happen.” Despite the fake-sounding quotes and ridiculous nature of this story, Gossip Cop still checked in with a rep for Holmes, who exclusively assures us there’s “no truth” to this tall tale.
In fact, as Gossip Cop previously reported, Cruise hasn’t been in contact with Suri for three years. We also called out the Enquirer for wrongly reporting Cruise and Suri reunited in July, but that simply wasn’t the case, and there’s been no movie offers via phone call either.
