Some of the best moments from former Super Bowls that were cited by the celebrities included Ray Lewis’s last game ever, Whitney Houston singing the National Anthem and Michael Jackson performing at the halftime show. Many of the stars also brought up the infamous “helmet catch” from the 2008 Super Bowl in which the New York Giants defeated the New England Patriots in the final two minutes of the game. This occurred after wide receiver David Tyree caught a pass from quarterback Eli Manning by pressing the ball against his helmet.
One of the highlights of the segment also featured Betty White demonstrating Cam Newton’s signature dab, the dance move that the Carolina Panthers quarterback uses to celebrate touchdowns. But towards the end of the sequence, Howard decides, “This whole thing needs to feel bigger. This is the Super Bowl,” and so he sits down with various members of the Broncos and Panthers to ask, “What is going through your mind?” Watch the Super Bowl 50 opening segment below!
