Suge Knight Wanted To Make Peace With Dr. Dre Before Murder Arrest For Hit And Run Of Terry Carter
Suge Knight was supposedly on a mission of peace, to settle his differences with Dr. Dre, before he ended up running his truck over two men and being charged with murder. Sources in the rap mogul’s camp claim his presence at the scene of the crime was actually to make peace with Dr. Dre, with whom he founded Death Row Records and has feuded for years. People on Knight’s side said he was lured to a section of Compton, where a commercial was being shot for Dr. Dre and Ice Cube’s film Straight Outta Compton. Once there, however, Knight and Dr. Dre’s security got into a physical altercation.
Knight left the location but was reportedly called by Terry Carter, says TMZ, and told to meet Dr. Dre at second location, where they could try to iron out their issues. Sources close to Knight say that despite his good intentions, the rap mogul was attacked by two men, including Cle “Bone” Sloan, who appeared in the films Training Day and End Of Watch. According to witnesses, Knight backed his truck into Sloan in what the police are calling an “intentional act.” He then drove forward a little and, as Carter went to the aid of the injured actor on the ground, the rap impresario backed his truck again, this time crushing Carter’s head, resulting in his death.
Knight then fled the scene before being arrested and charged with murder. He’s currently being held on $2 million bail. His attorney maintains it was all an “accident,” and others in his camp claim Knight’s intentions were initially to make peace with Dr. Dre.
Dr. Dre’s side, however, is saying it’s simply not true, and that Knight wasn’t invited to the set to make peace because he wasn’t wanted there. They also note how it’s all being pinned on Carter, who can’t deny it, because he’s dead. Sources in Dr. Dre’s camp add that Knight causes or attracts troubles wherever he goes, and they certainly didn’t want that. Tell us what you think.
