Suge Knight has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly pointing a gun at a man before driving away.

The Los Angeles Police Department pulled Knight over on Crenshaw Boulevard in Gardena early Thursday morning. Several officers swarmed his white Cadillac Escalade.

The hip-hop mogul was handcuffed and taken into custody on the assault charge, as well as a misdemeanor warrant for driving with a suspended license.

Bail is set at $65,000.

Knight co-founded Death Row Records and helped launch some of the biggest names in rap. He was imprisoned from 1996 to 2001 for violating probation for previous assault and weapons convictions, then again in 2003 for violating parole.
