WATCH: Steve Perry of Journey Sings on Stage For First Time in 19 Years
Steve Perry, the former Journey frontman, sang on stage for the first time in 19 years over the weekend.
The reclusive rock star joined Eels at their concert in St. Paul, Minnesota, stunning the crowd with one of the band’s songs before singing his own hits “Open Arms” and “Lovin’, Touchin’, Squeezin.'”
As Eels frontman Mark Everett explained in introducing Perry, the Journey star walked away from performing in 1995 “because it didn’t feel right,” and his reason for reemerging on Sunday was “only known to him.”
How do you think he sounded?
