Steve Harvey issued another apology on social media after wrongly announcing and crowning the wrong woman as Miss Universe 2015 on Sunday’s telecast. As Gossip Cop reported at the end of the pageant, Harvey first said Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez had won, but moments after she had been crowned, he embarrassing admitted he had made a “mistake” and the real Miss Universe 2015 winner was Miss Philippines Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. See video below of the wrong and then right woman being crowned Miss Universe 2015.

Not long after his giant screwup, Harvey took to Twitter to write an apology in a series of tweets. He first wrote, “I’d like to apologize wholeheartedly to Miss Colombia & Miss Philippines for my huge mistake. I feel terrible.” He added in another message on Twitter, “Secondly, I’d like to apologize to the viewers at that I disappointed as well. Again it was an honest mistake.” “I don’t want to take away from this amazing night and pageant. As well as the wonderful contestants. They were all amazing,” concluded Harvey.

On the live broadcast, Harvey similarly said, “I will take responsibility. It was my mistake,” begging, “Please don’t hold it against the ladies.” A number of stars reacted to Steve Harvey announcing the wrong Miss Universe winner, as Gossip Cop noted, and for the most part felt bad for the veteran TV host.
