Stephen Collins: 7th Heaven Fans and Cast Support Me, Even Though I’m A Molester (VIDEO)
Stephen Collins made a rare public appearance on Friday, telling paparazzi that “7th Heaven” viewers and cast members have given him support in the wake of revelations that he molested children. The disgraced actor and his divorce lawyer were spotted leaving high-profile restaurant Mr. Chow in Beverly Hills when a cameraman caught up with them, and Collins seemed more than happy to chat. As to whether he hopes to make a Hollywood comeback, Collins said, “If I’m lucky enough to get asked to, I would love that.” Told that “7th Heaven” reruns have returned to the air after being pulled last year when his shameful history made headlines, Collins said he was “delighted” because “so many people out there love the show.”
“I still get messages from people every day saying how much the show means to them,” explained Collins. “I’m glad they’re not being deprived of it because of something that happened to me.” Asked whether he’s spoken to any “7th Heaven” cast members amid his scandal, Collins revealed that he’s talked to a “couple of them,” although he did not say who.”The support has been amazing,” said the star. “It really sustained me… I feel very fortunate in that way.” Watch the video below, and tell us what you think.
