Stephen Collins’ Wife: Don’t Blame Me For Lost Work, You’re The Pedophile!
Stephen Collins’ estranged wife Faye Grant is blasting his complaints about not being able to find work in the wake of the revelation that he molested children. Earlier this month, a secretly recorded 2012 therapy session in which Collins admitted to inappropriate sexual contact with at least three girls was leaked to the media, leading to shock, outrage and Collins’ immediate termination from acting jobs.
The disgraced “7th Heaven” star’s attorney has since filed legal documents stating that Grant’s “decision to parade that recording… has resulted in Stephen having no income other than investment income and pension income.” Collins is effectively arguing that Grant has ruined his professional opportunities by making his child molestation public knowledge. It should be noted that Grant maintains she is not the one who leaked the tape to the media.
Regardless, Grant’s own lawyer, Marty Singer, has now provided a statement to Gossip Cop, firing back at Collins’ camp:
It is outrageous that Mark Vincent Kaplan, who is representing a pedophile, is blaming Faye Grant for his client’s alleged inability to find work. If Mr. Collins is not able to obtain work, it has nothing to do with the tape that was turned over to the police two years ago by Ms. Grant. The tape has nothing to do with Mr. Collins’ plight. It is Mr. Collins’ horrific conduct and actions that have caused him damage. It is also unfortunate that Mr. Kaplan is attempting to justify his client’s conduct by diverting blame onto third parties. Mr. Collins should take responsibility for his reprehensible actions rather than blame others.
Gossip Cop will have updates.
