Stars Remember Robin Williams On One-Year Anniversary Of Death
Stars are remembering their late friend and colleague Robin Williams, who committed suicide a year ago today on August 11, 2014. Many celebrities have taken to Twitter on Tuesday to pay tribute to the legendary comedian. See the tweets below.
One of Williams’ closest friends was Billy Crystal, who posted an old photo of himself and Williams, along with the caption, “Missing our friend today.” John Stamos quoted an old Williams one-liner, tweeting, “‘Dear money, send mom.’ Robin Williams. The first autograph I ever got. You are missed Robin.” Zoe Saldana cited a famous Williams quote as well, writing, “‘You’re only given a little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it.’ #RobinWilliams.”
Patton Oswalt simply tweeted, “I miss Robin.” Meanwhile, Tom Arnold gave a heartfelt message, expressing, “If there is a better place I’m 100% Robin Williams is there because he made this place so much much better.” Margaret Cho stated, “It’s very rainy like the sky is crying and I miss Robin.” As Gossip Cop reported earlier, Williams’ “The Crazy Ones” co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar also paid tribute to the actor. She posted a lengthy quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson about success, followed by “You succeeded RW.”
