Up to 12 people have reportedly been killed and several more wounded during the attack. Officials are saying there may be as many as three possible suspects.
Presidential candidates from both parties have weighed in on the situation. Hillary Clinton tweeted, “I refuse to accept this as normal. We must take action to stop gun violence now,” while Donald Trump wrote, “California shooting looks very bad. Good luck to law enforcement and God bless. This is when our police are so appreciated!”
Debra Messing expressed, “NOT AGAIN. Praying for everyone in San Bernadino. Stay safe,” to which Dr. Drew directly responded, “Where do I live?! I don’t recognize this country.” Dave Navarro shared a similar sentiment, saying, “I really don’t understand what is happening to our planet.”

As for the belief that mental illness, and not gun control, is the bigger issue, an angry Andy Richter asserted, “So sick of this lazy [B.S.]. While we wait around for mental illness 2 be magically cured, u get to keep ur AR-15.” Rashida Jones tersely stated, “This has got to stop.”
Seth Green tweeted “This is beyond crazy. I’m exhausted. We have to change,” while Christina Applegate wrote, “Wow. Once again heart is breaking. This has to stop!!!” And Hailee Steinfeld expressed, “My heart aches. You have my love San Bernadino.”
