Kobe Bryant announced on Sunday he’s retiring after the 2015-2016 season, and now stars are reacting to the news. Bryant has been in the NBA for more than 20 years, all of them with the Los Angeles Lakers. See celebrity reactions to Bryant’s retirement.

Justin Timberlake tweeted, “One of the TRUE KINGS of the game. You are one the greatest to ever do it, my friend. #Kobe #BlackMamba #VinoClub.” Meanwhile, Gigi Hadid called the announcement “bittersweet,” explaining, “@KobeBryant feels like home to anyone who grew up a @Lakers fan. All good things must come to an end. Love the Bryant family.”

Snoop Dogg posted several pictures of the basketball star on Instagram and thanked him. He wrote, “Legends never die.@kobebryant love u for the memories. And friendship God bless u and yours.” Rob Lowe offered, “Wow. @kobebryant One of the toughest champions who ever lived. We will savor this season. #Lakers.” And Larry King felt, “@kobebryant will go down as one of the greatest basketball players… #itsmytwocents.”

Bryant’s former teammate Pau Gasol expressed gratitude to the basketball legend for his friendship. “We have lived incredible moments together on and off the court. Thanks for everything brother! @kobebryant #ThankYouKobe.” Rick Fox echoed a similar sentiment. He tweeted, “You loved the game @kobebryant and the game loved you back! Proud to know you and honored to have represented the #PurpleandGold together!”
