Glenn Frey, co-founder of the classic rock group Eagles, died on Monday of complications from rheumatoid arthritis, acute ulcerative colitis and pneumonia. He was 67. Now, stars are paying tribute to the late musician. See celebrity reactions below.

Steve Martin tweeted, “Shocker. My friend from the early days, and important member of Eagles, has died. We loved you.” Miles Teller praised Frey’s musical abilities, writing, “One of the greatest voices, musicians, contributors and collaborators to rock n roll music has passed away. RIP Glenn Frey.” Meanwhile, Andy Cohen expressed, “All our rock Gods are dying #RIP.”

Rita Wilson quoted a lyric from Frey’s hit song “Desperado,” writing, “It may be rainin’, but there’s a rainbow above you.” She added, “We love you.” Carson Daly noted, “So sad to hear of the passing of Glenn Frey. I had the great pleasure of knowing him and he was beyond gracious. Praying for his family.”

A shocked Dane Cook tweeted, “Glenn Frey can’t be dead. This sucks. The Eagles are amazing. His solo career was stellar.” Paul Reiser shared a similar sentiment, saying, “Yikes – Glenn Frey is gone?! This doesn’t seem right at all. What a great mountain of beautiful and indelible music he gave us.”

Many fellow musicians are also paying respects to their peer. Sheryl Crow wrote, “You will be sorely missed. Thank you for all you gave us.” Huey Lewis expressed, “I’m shocked. A brilliant songwriter and a really good guy. Talented, funny, cynical and sweet.” And Carole King tweeted, “R.I. P. Glenn Frey. Deepest condolences to his family and #Eagles.”

Brad Paisley tweeted, “So saddened and shocked by the loss of Glenn Frey. Thank you for the music that paved the way for so many others.” Dave Navarro noted, “The Eagles helped shape my understanding of music when I was going up.” Meanwhile, two members of Kiss are paying tribute to Frey. Gene Simmons wrote, “our condolences to friends and family. Rest In Peace,” while Paul Stanley expressed, “SHOCKED to report the death of GLENN FREY. Eagle & brilliant songwriter. We shared some memories at RRHOF. Shocked.”
