The San Francisco Giants won the 2014 World Series on Tuesday. The team beat the Kansas City Royals 3 to 2 in Game 7 of this year’s championship.

The Giants pulled off the decisive final game on their opponents’ home turf at Kauffman Stadium in Missouri. And even more remarkably, it was the team’s third World Series win in five years.

Much of the credit is being given to pitcher Madison Bumgarner, pictured right, who was named the series’ MVP, after already being named the MVP of the NLCS. Bumgarner’s accomplishment here, however, was especially incredible as he managed to get the last out in the bottom of the ninth with the tying run on third.

As celebrations raged both in the stadium locker room and on the streets of San Francisco, many celebrity baseball fans took to Twitter to share their reactions. An ecstatic Zac Efron, a California native, tweeted, “Yeeessss!!! CONGRATS! #WorldSeriesChamps.” Brandi Glanville wrote, “Go Giants! Woohoo Guy Glanville is a happy man!” And Ellen DeGeneres shared, “My strippers were right! The @SFGiants take it! Congrats to the @Royals, too. That was an incredible series.”

“GIANTS!!! #Giants #WorldSeriesGame7 GIANTS!!!!” exclaimed Emma Caulfield. “Congrats to Giants and Royals on great #WorldSeriesGame7 Bumgarner unreal! Amazing!” said Ralph Macchio. Bret Michaels tweeted, “Congrats @SFGiants #WorldSeries champs, great series. @Royals were tough & hung in there. Awesome @MLB season.” Playing on the Giants’ trend of winning on even years (2010, 2012, 2014), Darren Criss humorously wrote, “Whooo! #GoGiants !!! Much respect to @Royals & @KCMO, what a great series. That was fun, let’s do it again some time… #2016?” And St. Louis Cardinals fanatic Andy Cohen tweeted, “Congratulations @SFGiants – World Champions again! #Dynasty”

Kathy Griffin found herself a newfound fan of Bumgarner, amusingly writing, “I don’t even like sports but hell, can’t take my eyes off this champion #BUMGARNER.” Sports enthusiast Melissa Joan Hart was also impressed. She wrote, “Incredible performance by #MadisonBumgarner Congratulations to the @SFGiants.” And Rob Lowe tweeted, “What a #WorldSeries What a pitcher. #MBMVP !!!!!!!”

Controversial “Bachelor” star and former soccer player Juan Pablo Galavis wrote, “What a World Series… Congrats to the @SFGiants and RESPECT to the BATTLE the @Royals gave them…” Kansas City native Eric Stonestreet maturely said, “The @Royals may have lost, but this team and that city is all winner. Thanks for a GREAT post season. Congrats Giants and GO @KCChiefs!!!!” And fellow Kansas City resident Don Cheadle also tweeted, “Great series, KC. Hold your heads.”
