Monday is Labor Day, and a number of stars are celebrating on social media. Check out the celebrity tweets below!

Labor Day, a federal holiday, was founded to recognize the contributions of America’s workers. Of course, over the years, it’s also turned into the unofficial end of summer. For many, the day means barbecues and final trips to the beach.

For others, it’s a last hurrah before school really gets going on. And for some, it’s just the end of a long weekend. This year, the remnants of Hurricane Hermine is still affecting would-be celebrants on the East Coast. But no matter how the day is spent, plenty are talking about it on Twitter.

Early Monday morning, Robert Downey Jr. posted a photo of his Iron Man character Tony Stark, along with the caption, “Happy Labor Day! May everything you do be a labor of love.” Mark Wahlberg shared the trailer for his upcoming movie Deepwater Horizon, and added, “Proud to be part of a film that honors hard-working everyday heroes. Happy Labor Day!” Meanwhile, Alyssa Milano simply stated, “Happy #LaborDay. Be safe.”

Michelle Monaghan expressed, “Laborless vibes today #LaborDay #amondayicangetbehind.” Reese Witherspoon posted a photo of her husband and son at the beach, and added, “#BeachBumming it Hope y’all are having a relaxing #LaborDay.” Sarah Michelle Gellar noted the irony of the holiday, saying, “#LaborDay or the day we celebrate hard work, by not working at all!! #HappyLaborDay.” And Viola Davis simply wrote, “Happy #LaborDay everyone!”

Sarah Hyland admitted, “I’m not ready for summer to be over.” “Good Morning America” weather anchor Ginger Zee shared, “I’ll see you on @GMA ! Who else is Laboring on Labor Day? Thanks to all the nurses/doctors. police/first responders, public transportation.” And Steve Harvey wrote, “Happy Labor Day. Shout out to all the hard working people out there getting it every day.”

“Outlander” star and Scottish actor Sam Heughan tweeted to followers, “Happy #laborday too all in US. What are your holiday plans?” Along with a photo of her kids in USA-themed clothing, Melissa Joan Hart wrote on Instagram, “Happy Labor Day everybody!” Back on Twitter, Dolly Parton posted a picture from 9 To 5, writing, “Y’all deserve a break from workin’! Have a fun #LaborDay and don’t get in too much trouble ;)”

Ryan Seacrest posted, “quote of the day: ‘Choose a job you love, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.’ #LaborDay.” Lupita Nyong’o said, “No labor, thank you.” Emmy Rossum announced, “Happy labor day!!! Time to labor at the gym!!!!” And Bethenny Frankel declared, “Let’s do this #laborday.”

Meanwhile, Soledad O’Brien’s holiday got off to a poor start after recent comments she made about CNN’s coverage of Donald Trump led trolls to attack her on Twitter. She confessed, “So far this morning I’ve been called a c**t, a b**ch and a whore by the good folks on twitter! (And it’s 730 am) Happy Labor Day everybody!!” Courteney Cox offered, “Hope you’re all having a great Labor Day!!” And Ellen DeGeneres took the opportunity to plug her animated movie, insisting, “There’s no better Labor Day plan than seeing #FindingDory! It’s back in theaters! Go see it. I sound even more beautiful the second time.”

New Jersey governor and former presidential candidate Chris Christie posted, “Wishing everyone a safe and happy Labor Day!” Eric Trump, the son of Republican nominee Donald Trump, remarked, “Happy Labor Day friends! It is a great day to be an American!” And even the New York Islanders said, “Happy Labor Day #Isles fans!”
