Tab laughably wrong about Jessica Simpson’s “new guy”

If you are drinking anything right now, swallow it before you read this item about Star magazine’s latest scoop on Jessica Simpson.
In a piece titled, “Jessica’s New Guy,” the Star claims Simpson’s “new guy” is actor Evan Hart, and that on February 19 the two were at the Hollywood hotspot Janes House, where one of the tabloid’s sources claimed they were “totally flirting.”
In addition to stating, “At one point, Evan had his arm around Jessica and then leaned over and kissed her,” the source noted, “Jessica and her date seemed to know each other pretty well.”
Yes, they do know each other pretty well.
[Put your drink down now unless you want to do a spit-take.]
When we reached out to a source close to Simpson, our insider was actually with the singer/actress and Hart — and his fiancee! Hart is engaged to Simpson’s makeup artist and friend Jeannia Robinette.
And by the way, it wasn’t just Gossip Cop who laughed uncontrollably when busting this bad dish. Simpson, Hart and Robinette, we’re told, were “all cracking up.”
Equally laughable is that the accuracy-challenged HollywoodLife picked up the Star story and ran it as fact under the headline, “Jessica Simpson, It’s So Great That You’re Back To Dating!”
Chuckle, chuckle.
