Gossip Cop Tabloid Scorecard — See February’s Worst Offenders Here!

Truth rating: 10
(National Enquirer)

(National Enquirer)

Star magazine had 25 wrong rumors busted in February, making the publication Gossip Cop’s top offender for the second month in a row.

We corrected the tabloid for inaccurate stories about Ellen DeGeneres, Kate Middleton, and Kanye West, to just name a few.

The National Enquirer, however, was certainly the worst offender of the month for its entirely made-up story alleging Philip Seymour Hoffman was in a secret gay relationship prior to his death (see above right).

Gossip Cop was the FIRST outlet to debunk the false story, and the mag was later forced to issue a major apology.

How did other tabloids fare in February?

Check out the scorecard below — and stick with Gossip Cop as we continue to separate fact from fiction all year long.
