‘Stand For Rights’ ACLU Benefit Live Stream: Watch Online

Dozens of celebrities are participating in the telethon to raise money for the organization dedicated to defending civil liberties. Among those making appearances include Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Tina Fey, Tracy Morgan, Jon Hamm, Amy Poehler, Uzo Aduba, Josh Charles, Zosia Mamet, Ike Barinholtz, Padma Lakshmi, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski, and many more. There were also be musical performances by Usher and The Roots, Norah Jones, Jack Antonoff, and Ryan Adams.
All the proceeds from the event will go towards efforts to protect civil rights. A description of the benefit on the ACLU’s official website states, “Our work in the courts, in Congress and state legislatures, and in the streets is essential right now to hold off the worst of the Trump administration’s abuses. But it is also the collective will and tireless actions of ‘we the people’ that serve as a bulwark against unconstitutional and wrong-headed policies and executive orders.” The statement concludes, “By supporting our work through this telethon, we can fight even harder to defend the rights guaranteed by our Constitution.”
