Soulja Boy is the week’s latest death hoax victim.

Twitter users began to joke about the performer being “dead” late Thursday and early Friday morning, leading to an “RIP Soulja Boy” trending topic.

As the hoax spread, more and more people began speculating about whether the rapper was deceased.

It is 100% false.

He is NOT dead.

There was never anything behind the rumor beyond the same stupid “RIP [fill in the blank]” prank that faux-”killed” Cher and Adele and other celebs in recent days.

We still don’t really get what’s supposed to be funny about spreading false reports of someone’s alleged death.
