A tweet purportedly sent by Solange Knowles about her mysterious elevator attack on brother-in-law Jay Z is FAKE.

The phony Twitter message making the rounds (see below) was supposedly sent on Monday and accuses Jay Z of hitting Beyonce.

It reads, “He tried the right one. I keep telling yall that n*gga ain’t bout that life. U hit my sis I hit u hoe. Talk what you know! Y’all don’t know sh*t.”

A number of outlets posted the tweet as an “explanation” for the elevator beatdown.

But it’s 100 percent bogus.

The tweet is the work of Photoshop.

A rep for Solange tells TMZ, “I can confirm that Solange did not tweet that; that is not a real tweet.”

It’s still not clear what prompted the elevator incident.
