Solange Knowles Lost Wedding Ring During Pre-Mardi Gras Parade
Solange Knowles lost her wedding ring in New Orleans on Thursday when she rode on the Krewe of Muses float during a parade leading up to Mardi Gras this Tuesday. The singer and sister of Beyonce acknowledged the missing diamond ring, but put everything in perspective when she tweeted on Friday, “My son said, mom I’m just happy YOU didn’t fly off the float, & that your safe, & that you still get to have the love you have.” She added, “tears dried.”
On its official Facebook page, Krewe of Muses wrote, “Honorary Muse Solange lost her wedding ring between Toledano and Foucher. Reward if found! Contact firstname.lastname@example.org.” Knowles had been pictured earlier wearing the ring while partying on the float in her green-and-blue Moschino outfit (see right).
Knowles was very excited about joining Krewe of Muses for the parade. Hours before began, she posted a video of her herself, along with a note that read, “Honored to be your Queen of Muses #kreweofmuses!!! We about to be turnt in that glitter shoe!!! See you soon Nola!”
After losing the ring, Knowles also tweeted, “I can’t put into words how grateful I am to be given the Key to the City! NEW ORLEANS, from the bottom of my soul, I am so thankful.” The singer and her director husband Alan Ferguson wed in New Orlean in November 2014. It’s also where they make their home with Knowles’ son Julez from a previous marriage.
