“So You Think You Can Dance” Results: Top 8 Revealed After “Next Generation” Elimination
“So You Think You Can Dance” eliminated another “Next Generation” contestant to go from the Top 9 to the Top 8 on Monday. Get the results below!
As Gossip Cop reported, last week Daniela was the first young dancer to be eliminated during the “SYTYCD” live shows. She was in the Bottom Two after scoring the lowest amount of viewer votes, and the judges opted to send her home in favor of keeping Sheaden. Now tonight, the Top 9 all performed live once more, but the audience-determined results were based on last week’s performances.
And based on the votes cast, host Cat Deeley revealed the Bottom Two this time around consisted of Ruby (age 12, ballroom with All-Star Paul Karmiryan) and, again, Sheaden (age 12, hip-hop with All-Star Marko Germar). And it was again up to the judges to decide who would stay and who would go. The panel ultimately decided to give Sheaden the boot, despite saving him last week.
The whole process will repeat again next week, with votes cast for tonight’s performances helping to determine who is eliminated and who makes the Top 7. For now, the Top 8 still in the competition are Tate (age 12, contemporary with All-Star Kathryn McCormick), Jordan (age 13, contemporary with All-Star Sasha Mallory), Kida (age 13, hip-hop with All-Star Fik Shun), Jake (age 12, ballroom with All-Star Jenna Johnson), JT (age 10, contemporary with All-Star Robert Roldan), Emma (age 10, tap with All-Star and reigning “SYTYCD” winner Gabby Diaz), Tahani (age 12, hip-hop with All-Star Comfort Fedoke), and Ruby.
Check out video of the results announcement below. And tune into the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday to see the young contestants perform with newest “SYTYCD” judge Maddie Ziegler.
