While the rest of her “Jersey Shore” crew gets into bar brawls, Snooki is busy getting ready for her baby.

“I feel like I’m going to be a good mom,” says the reality star, who adds that she’s taking her new role far more seriously than many observers assume.

Snooki explains, “A lot of people definitely underestimate me, but this isn’t a joke. Once you realize you’re pregnant and you have your little daughter or son in you, I mean, you stop [partying].”

“I feel it changed me overnight,” adds Snooki.

The pint-sized guidette also talks about breastfeeding, giving up alcohol, her maternity style, and how her kids will “learn from [her] mistakes.”

Snooki also reveals the couple’s leading choice for a name for their baby boy.

this little troll tramp is an idiot there are a limited amount of cases where moms can’t/shouldn’t breastfeed a child that doesn’t latch on or a drug addict mom are two of the most obvious. she’s just scared lorenzo will bite when he gets teeth thats all. why doesn’t she read Vanessa Redgrave’s autobiography in which she admits to nursing each of her kids between 11 months and 26 months and in two of the cases she stopped early because she was pregnant again correct in April 1964 she weaned her oldest daughter Natasha because she found out she was pregnant with her middle daughter Joely who she nursed for 26 months and she weaned her son Carlo for the same reason around his first birthday in September 1970 though she miscarried that pregnancy in January 1971 on the set of the movie The Trojan Women and didn’t do any films for a few years in part do to a crippling case of post miscarriage baby blues/mothers guilt. or she could’ve kept her mouth shut as not to look like an even bigger fool than she already is

Get off your soap box. Everyone is different. Don’t judge. There’s a lot of pressure on women to breastfeed and lots of times it doesn’t work out even when you go to a lactation specialist. I have 6 close girlfriends and out of all of us, only one was able to successfully breastfeed until 14 months. My SIL made it until 8 months or so. But the rest of us ended up switching to formula for medical reasons. One bub was allergic to milk protein and had to be put on a soy based formula by the hospital, one had severe depression and couldn’t breastfeed due to medicine…and I had retained products so my milk didn’t come in for a few weeks and my daughter was problematic to nurse. She preferred to just sip every 10-15 mins over 4 hours which meant she wasn’t getting enough and wasn’t gaining enough weight. I worked with the LC for 3 months…

Breastfeeding is hard. It’s not easy. If the baby isn’t gaining weight then they quickly get you to supplement formula now which is good for the baby but it creates an uphill battle for you. I think that the pro breastfeeding groups put so much pressure on women to nurse that when it doesn’t work out, women fall into a deep depression as one of my friends did.

So pressure to breastfeed is increasing the incidence of postnatal depression in my opinion.

I wasn’t on a soap box I was merely giving an example which I should know a thing or two about as I was supposed to be breast fed and couldn’t because the muscles behind my vocal chords were parallized due to the use of forcepts. and besides there are women that will have postnatal depression weather they are preasured to nurse or not it’s genetic if your mother had it your likely to and you don’t actually have to give birth to experience severe pregnancy linked depression it’s also common in moms who lose pregnancies to miscarriage/still birth look for example at Mariah Carey she admitted being severely depressed when she miscarried her first pregnancy in december 2008 and feeling like a prisoner when she was pregnant with her twins who were born 5 weeks premature due to life threatenning complications and in the nicu for two weeks and she nursed them for their first three months of life. granted snooki isn’t famous she’s infamous as all reality show stars are
