SNL Open Richard Sherman

“SNL” made fun of the Seattle Seahawks’ players Richard Sherman (Jay Pharaoh) and Marshawn Lynch (Kenan Thompson), with a talk show called “Super Bowl Shut Down,” hosted by Sherman. The Seattle Seahawks cornerback talked about how he likes to badmouth teams and people after they’ve “already lost,” while Lynch pretty much didn’t say anything other than “thank you for asking me that” (video below).

Of course, Lynch not really answering anything was “SNL” mocking the football player’s behavior at the Super Bowl’s media day and during other recent press conferences.

Sherman also poked fun at the New England Patriots and “deflategate” or “eballa,” as he called it. He then had as a guest his coach Pete Carroll (Taran Killam), who he teased for being so hokey and straight-laced. Of course, Super Bowl XLIX is happening on Sunday at the University of Phoenix in Glendale, Arizona beginning at 6:30 p.m. with Sherman, Lynch and the rest of the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots.
