SNL’s “Piers Morgan” Mocks Manti Te’o, Lance Armstrong and Jodie Foster (VIDEO)

“Saturday Night Live” kicked off with Piers Morgan (played by Taran Killam) examining the week’s series of “shocking and confusing revelations” by Lance Armstrong, Manti Te’o and Jodie Foster.

Jason Sudeikis portrayed Armstrong as a volatile and deluded pathological liar, while Bobby Moynihan’s Te’o sounded like the world’s most gullible and confused hoax victim.

But it may have been Kate McKinnon who stole the sketch with a spot-on Foster impression spoofing the actress not quite being able to make a clear “big announcement.”

    Sudeikis was a great unrepentant Lance Armstrong, but McKinnon and her perfect Jodi Foster impression really made the bit. I loved how she referenced Jodi’s reference of one of Molly Shannon’s classic SNL characters. I was talking to a coworker at DISH and we both thought that this was one of the only sketches that worked last night. I will admit that I missed the last half of the show because I fell asleep, but the only bit besides this one that I actually laughed at was the spoof Starbucks commercial. I love how my DISH Hopper can hold up to 2,000 hours of entertainment because even though we record a lot of different series I can still afford to keep this mediocre episode for the few moments that actually worked.
