SNL Second Presidential Debate

The cold open of “SNL” mocked the second presidential debate between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton last Sunday. Once again, Alec Baldwin captured Trump’s look and speech, while Kate McKinnon nailed Clinton’s demeanor. Watch the video below of “Saturday Night Live” spoofing the second presidential debate.

Much like the actual debate, the “SNL” take on the Town Hall from Washington University in St. Louis had Baldwin’s Trump responding to questions about the vulgar comments he made to Billy Bush on an “Access Hollywood” bus. Trump also blasted Clinton for her husband’s alleged affairs and assorted sexual misconduct. Also mocked was how the two presidential candidates didn’t shake hands, and the way Trump walked around Clinton while she talked.

“SNL” made fun, as well, of Trump saying that if he were president he would throw Clinton in jail and, at one point, calling her the “devil.” And naturally, the people in the Town Hall, including red sweater-wearing Ken Bone, were spoofed. The question also about what they liked best about each other was spoofed, with Clinton saying that she liked how “generous” Trump was. “Just last Friday he handed me this election,” she cracked.

The first Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton presidential debate was parodied on “SNL” two weeks ago in the cold open of the show’s season premiere. In that skit, the comedy program mocked Trump’s constant sniffling and interrupting of Clinton, as well as lampooned her overly rehearsed quips, including “trumped up trickle down economics.”
