Cookie Sesame Street SNL

Taraji P. Henson’s ruthless character Cookie Lyon from “Empire” visited “Sesame Street” in an “SNL” sketch, and got whatever she wanted, be it from Elmo, Bert and Ernie, or the Cookie Monster. Check out the video below.

The sketch started with Ernie trying to get Bert to trade half of his sandwich for an apple, but Cookie stepped in and said, “Bert, he’s trying to play you.” She also got in Snuffleupagus’ grill, telling him, “Stop rapping like you from the streets, ’cause you not about that life.” And when Cookie Monster asks if she wants to share a cookie, she grabs it and says, “Cookie don’t share.”

There’s also some ugliness when a Sesame Street character can’t find Elmo, and Cookie’s now dressed in a red fur. Cookie tells the “Sesame Street” monster, “Don’t you worry about it, baby.” Cookie does, however, think the “Sesame Street” characters have talent when she hears them doing a sing-along. She tells them, “I can market that!” Henson also explains that the “P” in Taraji P. Henson stands for “puppet.”
