Slamming Site’s Silly Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Breakup “Exclusive”

The latest Hollyscoop “exclusive” looks more like an “epic fail.”

“Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel Officially Over,” the site announces, breathlessly rehashing a rumor Gossip Cop‘s busted over and over again.

So what prompted Hollyscoop to claim Timberlake and Biel are definitely done this time?

The “news” that Timberlake didn’t join Biel in her climb up Mount Kilimanjaro, which the actress completed with others earlier today. (At one point Timberlake had been training to join the group on its trek.)

Everyone besides Hollyscoop realized Timberlake was not on Kilimanjaro long before now, and the fact that he’s “nowhere to be seen” seems like an awfully thin premise for any alleged breakup.

But the best part is the site’s contention that Timberlake hasn’t been seen since announcing the Golden Globe nominations on December 15, and that he hasn’t been seen with Biel “since late October, so it’s safe to assume their high profile relationship fizzled out a while ago.”

Actually, it’s “safe to assume” Hollyscoop has an aversion to checking facts. Because Timberlake and Biel were photographed — together! — just days ago in Telluride, Colorado.

Oops.

And a source close to the actress completely shrugged off the rumors when Gossip Cop asked.

    Thanks GC for, once again, busting this stupid rumor that won’t go away. You would think these blogs would do a better job of checking. The pictures of Justin and Jessica in Colorado were all over twitter not to mention OK Magazine even printed them. Then it was also common knowledge that as much as Justin wanted to do the climb he was under contract to the movie the Social Network and they didn’t want him to do it. I guess incase of reshoots they wouldn’t want to take the chance that he got hurt doing the climb. Again, as always, thanks for setting the record straight.

    Appreciate the busting of false reports although unfortunately gossip blogs seem to love reporting false info over and over again apparently thinking everytime a couple is apart they have split. Radar Online has now posted Hollyscoop’s false story as fact. Yawn but at least anyone with a brain can realize that the report is false once again.
