Site wrongly reports Conan O’Brien will not host tonight

“BREAKING EXCLUSIVE! Conan’s Plan — He Won’t Tape ‘The Tonight Show’ Tonight!” screams a headline on HollywoodLife.
The site further steps in it when it states, “Sources confirm to HollywoodLife.com that NBC is looking for someone to fill in for Conan O’Brien on tonight’s show — because the Tonight Show host is planning not to go (sic) the air tonight!”
And reports the same blog, which erroneously claimed recently that Madonna and Sean Penn went on a long date, “NBC is scrambling to find either a replacement or show a taped episode.”
Well, even the best of sites mess up, but O’Brien, who released a statement earlier today that he will not follow Jay Leno, will 100 PERCENT be on tonight’s program.
Oops.
HollywoodLife has since updated its site to say, “We’re told Conan has returned to the set.” Actually, he NEVER left the set.
