Some outlets are still angling for Gossip Cop end-of-the-year dishonors. Maybe they should just resolve to sit out for a while.

Your (ahem) “trusted” source for Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart news, Entertainment & Showbiz, has decided this morning to clear up their relationship status once and for all.

According to the site, Pattinson and Stewart “are no longer dating each other.”

Huh?

That’s right. “Even if you come across photos of them together and hear the news of Kristen visiting Robert,” the site warns, do not be “misled.” The two actors “are just friends.” How does E&S know? Well, when Stewart dated Michael Angarano, she “never hid her affair,” but the actress “has not opened up about her relationship with Robert Pattinson.”

Let’s follow the “logic” here. Stewart once had a boyfriend and spoke openly about him, so her reluctance to address her relationship with Pattinson (after two years of life-altering fame and predatory media frenzy) means there isn’t one?

Here are the facts. The “Twilight” stars welcomed the New Year together on the Isle of Wight off the southern coast of England. They posed for photos with a fan outside a grocery store in the island’s seaside town of Ventnor.

And here’s Gossip Cop‘s take. A site that asks you to ignore what evidence does exist while supporting its own theories with baffling logic… is probably more wrong than Wight.

    LOL the post has been taken off it’s site. I had made a post earlier about what a BS article it was and then my post was deleted.
    When I saw Gossip Cop call them out I went and posted again and now the post is gone, too funny!

    Kristen made it very clear during her interview with EW that she was not going to discuss her private life. She didn’t want her private life to be the center of attention over her work when discussing a film. Why would she suddenly make an about face and start talking about her relationship with RPatz. I think that she learned a lesson when she was dating Michael Angarano. We will find out something when she feels like revealing something and not before. Quite frankly it is no one’s business. Thanks Gossip Cop.

    It\’s clear that some of these blogs have obsessed behind-the-scenes jealous fangirls writing for them. It\’s the only way to explain the illogic and the frenzied fear which overcomes them when contemplating the \’Robsten\’ relationship – leading them to pull these wild theories out of their asss. It would be hysterical if it weren\’t so sad. These are two young people in love, I don\’t understand why these women just can\’t leave them alone. Plus the need for them to hang on to Kristen\’s 7th grade boyfriend like he was an ex-husband is sooooo bizarre, it\’s almost like they want to turn the guy into Jennifer Aniston, forever attaching him to this young couple in love, as they do her with Brangelina. Why are they so obsessed over two little kids who dated for a bit in their young teens and then broke up? It\’s creepy. Kristen\’s a young woman, in love with a MAN, named Robert Pattinson. Let her grow up and be in love without throwing the middle school pipsqueak boyfriend in the mix.
