Simon Cowell NOT Doing Reality Show To Find Zayn Malik One Direction Replacement (EXCLUSIVE)
Simon Cowell is NOT planning a reality show competition to find a replacement for Zayn Malik in One Direction. Gossip Cop can exclusively bust the claim, with a spokesperson telling us, “It’s totally untrue.”
As Gossip Cop has reported, Malik officially left One Direction last week, leading to non-stop speculation about the future of the group. The remaining four members, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne, have vowed to go on together, and they performed their first concerts as an official four-piece over the weekend. But now RadarOnline alleges “the management team is pondering the idea of developing a new reality show to find a new member for the band.”
Noting how Cowell put the One Direction guys together after they auditioned individually on the “The X Factor UK,” RadarOnline quotes a so-called “insider” as saying the music mogul is now “really pushing to do a ‘search for the fifth member’ sort of reality show singing competition.” The supposed source goes on to claim, “One Direction was founded on the same concept on ‘The X Factor,’ so Simon and the management team think that it is kind of a spectacular idea and they know that the ratings would be enormous.”
RadarOnline even alleges Styles, Horan, Tomlinson and Payne have had a “change of heart” about being a foursome, and supposedly are “already realizing that they may need to have five in order to survive.” The webloid then hedges its bets by conveniently claiming that “the idea is still preliminary,” with its alleged “insider” saying, “The first step would be to announce an open casting call and they are not quite there just yet.”
Want to know why the team is “not quite there just yet”? Because it’s NOT happening AT ALL. A spokesperson tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “This story is completely made up. It’s totally untrue.” If there is any ever LEGITIMATE news about a potential One Direction replacement for Malik, you can count on Gossip Cop to have it.
