Simon Cowell First “America’s Got Talent” Promo – WATCH VIDEO!
Simon Cowell is feared in his amusing first promo for “America’s Got Talent.” Watch below!
As Gossip Cop reported, it was announced last October that Cowell has joined the NBC competition’s panel of judges for its upcoming 11th season. He replaces Howard Stern, who signed off with the season 10 finale last year. Cowell has been the show’s producer since its inception, but this is the first time he’ll be an on-camera presence.
And given his reputation, returning panelists Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Mel B are a bit scared. In a teaser that first premiered Monday night during “The Voice,” a mysterious prisoner is seen getting a police escort. As it turns out, it’s Cowell, locked up in a straitjacket with a Hannibal Lecter-inspired mask over his face.
“Well, we finally meet,” Mandel announces. Mel wonders, “Is he really going to behave himself?” Klum warns, “He better!” When his mask is finally removed, Cowell asks his new colleagues, “Is all of this necessary? I don’t actually bite!”
Mandel fires back, “That’s not what we heard!” And when some of the new contents are shown, Cowell menacingly says, “Well now, dinner is served!” Not surprisingly, the preview is titled “Simon of the Lambs.” “AGT” will premiere on May 31, and Gossip Cop will have full coverage.
