Shia LaBeouf in Boozy Bar Fight (VIDEO)

Shia LaBeouf was not very good during a recent fight scene.

Even worse — it was not for a movie.

Gossip Cop has learned that LaBeouf got beat up by a guy in the early morning hours last Thursday in and outside a Vancouver restaurant/bar called Cinema Public House.

A source on the scene tells us another patron “said something stupid” to the actor, and then the two went at it.

According to our eyewitness, “They were both really drunk.”

But the fight didn’t end when they were kicked out by security.

We’re told the other guy continued to pummel LaBeouf on the street.

Apparently, the Transformers star was so inebriated, “He thought a lot of people [on the street] were attacking him, but the other people were trying to help” diffuse the situation.

Eventually, the brawl was broken up, and LaBeouf, who’s in Vancouver shooting The Company You Keep, hopped into a cab and split.

LaBeouf has been in a few scraps over the years, including a fight last February at a bar in Sherman Oaks, California.

    I read he doesn’t have a body guard. He needs one. Also, he needs a full time psychologist with him 24/7 for about a year to see him through his issues of drinking & fighting. Why oh why doesn’t his family, friends or co workers tell he must have professional help. We don’t need another Lindsay Lohan or worse yet Heath Ledger. These people need trustworthy people to tell them when they are headed for trouble. Apparently they all just sit in awe of him. He is no different than any of us, he just happens to be in public arena going through a very rough time & I’m sure he is suffering. Too bad those around him don’t demand he get help.

    OH BO! that’s so funny! shia hon, i have no idea how much you drink alcohol, but dear we all suppose to know alcohol, it’s a truth drug, so if you always getting in fights, you need to check, yourself, TEMPER! TEMPER1 TEMPER! STOP GETTING IN FIGHTS! cut back on the liquor! i am not judging, because in my country, they drink allot of alchol, sometimes there is fights, but no biggy, to saying who needs anger management or not, when you see the clip, you will see how silly you were, getting into bar fights, and getting beating up.

    Rob Pattinson drinks a fair amount, and a few months ago, he said that people wanted to fight him “all the time.”

    So, he said, he “just leaves.”

    Emily – great to hear some intelligence from someone. The people that make these ugly comments don’t know what really happened. It’s amazing to me they can dream up this trash talk about someone they don’t know. Shame on the bar tender &waitress for allowing someone to drink beyond their limit. Looks bad for all involved. I agree he needs counseling and definitely some martial art lessons which will protect him AND teach him SELF DISIPLINE.

    These little Hollywood actor sometimes are dillusional and think that they are bigger than life and can kick anybody’s butt.     I find nothing funny about this situation..poor Shia..he needs to get help with his drinking and anger /psychological issues..he’s such a talented actor and I feel so bad for him..he should never go out without a bodygaurd or at the very least friends that care about him..where is his family..it just saddens me greatly to see this piece of crap in his face like this as Shias personality always seems bigger than life..this is degrading..I hope he seeks help soon..hes better than this.

    Why does he do it. Shia knows the rough guys will beat him up and yet he goes alone to the bars and gets plastered. Somebody mentioned Rob Pattinson going out drinking. Rob never goes alone, he is with friends or Dean and they would protect him from the rowdies. Especially Dean. First he would try to talk sense and if that didnt work, he’d do something else. Point is Rob would be safe. Seems Shia has a death wish.

    poor guy… he needs to maybe look into getting his drinking resolved. he has symptoms of an alcoholic. he has changed soooo much since the first time i ever saw him on a late night tv show…conan or kimmel, but that was when he was like 16 maybe. but now i think he has had some unresolved issues he needs to work out before he ruins what he has.
