Shia LaBeouf Taking Phone Calls From Fans In Latest Performance Art Stunt #TOUCHMYSOUL
Shia LaBeouf is taking phone calls directly from his fans in his latest stunt. Teaming up with artists Nastja Säde Rönkkö and Luke Turner, LaBeouf has launched a project in the Fact Gallery in Liverpool called #TOUCHMYSOUL, which allows people to reach the actor via a hotline from Thursday through Sunday.
LaBeouf, Rönkkö, and Turner will be answering phones from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. GMT, and can be reached at +44/0-151-808-0771, if you have any questions for the actor or care to share some thoughts with him. But if you don’t have the time to remain on hold, waiting for your turn, the whole #TOUCHMYSOUL initiative is being streamed live on touchmysoul.net. The three are also constantly updating the site with lengthy and slightly bizarre notes about their experience.
As Gossip Cop previously reported, this isn’t LaBeouf’s first live-streamed performance piece. In November, he spent three consecutive days watching all of his movies, without any breaks, with fans at the Angelika Film Center in New York. The 72-hour stunt started with his last film, Man Down, and then went in reverse chronological order of each of his film’s releases.
Tell Gossip Cop what you think about LaBeouf’s latest performance piece #TOUCHMYSOUL. Will you be calling the hotline?
