Shia LaBeouf Freestyle Raps On ‘Sway In The Morning’ (VIDEO)
Shia LaBeouf showed off his surprisingly solid freestyle rap skills on Friday’s “Sway in the Morning.” The actor, not typically known for his hip-hop prowess, delivered a series of impressive rhymes in a musical challenged dubbed the “5 Fingers of Death.” Watch the video below!
The recurring bit on the SiriusXM radio show usually challenges rappers to prove their quick wordplay skills by freestyle rapping over five different beats. But LaBeouf took the mic on Friday’s installment of the show, managing to surprise host Sway and everyone else in the room with his abilities. Before he began rhyming, the actor said his favorite rappers were Tupac, Biggie and Missy Elliot, and even revealed he has portraits of all three tattooed on his body. Because of his fandom, Sway informed LaBeouf he’d have to rap over their beats during his challenge.
Not helping to ease his anxiety, Sway told the actor, “This ain’t the Academy, dog!” The radio host added, “This ain’t the big screen, dog. You ain’t in Hollywood right now Shia LaBeouf!” But the actor then proceeded to spit rhymes for nearly four full minutes without interruption, proving that if his acting career were to go downhill, LaBeouf might have a bright future in rap music.
