Shia LaBeouf Hilariously Tells Jimmy Kimmel About Cabaret Arrest – VIDEO
Shia LaBeouf was on Monday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and took the talk show host and audience through all the events that led to his June arrest at the Broadway show Cabaret. And while there’s nothing intrinsically amusing about his appalling behavior that day, LaBeouf is one heck of a storytelling, and had everyone enthralled as he retold — in nearly eight minutes — what went down.
According to LaBeouf, it all started with him drinking lots of double whiskeys while watching the World Cup at a nearby bar, and accidentally running into a dancer from Cabaret who was a fan and gave him a ticket to the musical. He explained the drinking continued at the performance, where his bad behavior included smoking cigarettes at the show and grabbing the butt of the musical’s lead, Alan Cumming.
LaBeouf recalled during the show’s intermission there was another “party” during which he was greeted by six cops, who took him to jail. That’s where the Fury star says, “I turn[ed] into Tupac — ripping my shirt off and doing push-ups, like, ‘Dog, don’t mess with me, I’m crazy.'” While under arrest, LaBeouf admits he spat on a cop’s shoes.
When Kimmel asks after the whole story what he learned, Labeouf says, “I’m gonna stay away from Broadway.”
