Shia LaBeouf Insults Frankie Muniz, Continuing Years-Long Feud

He may be the star of Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, but it seems like Shia LaBeouf‘s grudges don’t get much rest, either.

The actor hit longtime rival Frankie Muniz during a radio interview on “The Bert Show” this week, using a compliment about his career to attack.

“While that’s flattering as hell, you could have put Frankie Muniz into any of the movies I’ve been in and it would’ve still been No. 1,” said LaBeouf.

When asked whether he feared Muniz would hear the putdown and approach him at a party, LaBeouf replied, “I don’t go to many parties… and I really don’t hang out in Frankie Muniz-type zones.”

Wow.

Needless to say, Muniz was not thrilled with the comments.

“Dear Shia Labeouf. It’s getting creepy the fact that you can’t stop talking about me,” tweeted the “Malcolm in the Middle” star.

“It’s been 12 years now. I don’t know you. Thanks.”

In 2003, LaBeouf told a magazine Muniz used to scorn him before LaBeouf became more successful.

“I used to see him at premieres and stuff and it would always be like he was looking down on me,” said LaBeouf at the time. “And then it turned into we’re equal, and then it turned into, ‘Oh Frankie, I know that guy.’”

Whatever transpired between these two, it’s clear there exist some bad feelings.

    I hope that I don’t sound a bit naive or ignorant…. but is it possible to label pics when you have 2 of them? I hope that I am not the only one, but I don’t know all movie stars and musicians. I do have a life outside of the computer, the TV and the radio. Thank you.

    Actually, I know EXACTLY how Shia feels. Years ago, one of my friends and I began writing fan stories. She became well-known quickly and as she did, she became more distant and then began looking down her nose at me. It took a few years, but I soon had a following – I never advertised myself – and eventually became as well-known as her. I have never forgot how she treated me and I swore I would NEVER do that to anyone. And yes, I still hold a grudge.

    Considering he’s an “adult”, perhaps Mr. LaBeouf, should seek some professional help and get therapy for his obvious issues. In other words, grow the hell up, you are coming across like a bitchy little girl.

    LaBeouf put himself down in that interview by saying that his string of number 1′s have absolutely nothing to do with him. Frankie Muniz was pretty good on TV but he was no movie star.
