Shia LaBeouf Alec Baldwin Interview

Shia LaBeouf is opening up about his controversial exit from Orphans. As Gossip Cop reported, the actor was fired from the play last year after clashing with Alec Baldwin.

The co-stars then traded barbs via leaked emails, interviews, and social media. Now LaBeouf claims he was just embracing method acting.

The actor, who was slated to play the brutal and sometimes violent thief Treat who kidnaps Baldwin’s character, tells Interview, “Alec and I butted heads hard. I was sleeping in the park… At the time, I was out of my mind.”

“My whole goal was to intimidate the f*ck out of Baldwin. That was the role. And it wasn’t going to be fake. I wanted him to be scared,” says LaBeouf. “So I went about doing that for three weeks of rehearsal.”

His efforts apparently backfired. And the same can be said for his Cabaret attendance earlier his year, when he was arrested for disorderly conduct — including allegedly smacking star Alan Cumming‘s bottom.

LaBeouf reportedly tells Interview in the November issue, “I was reading about performance art of the ’60s and ’70s and so I thought… We’re all involved here. It’s not just your stage. We’re all in here and we’re all part of this. I was wrong.”
