Sherri Shepherd NOT Neglecting Son; Judge Throws Out Ex’s Custody Petition
Sherri Shepherd’s legal load just got a little lighter, after a Los Angeles judge deemed her fit to keep primary custody of her 9-year-old son.
As Gossip Cop reported, the TV personality’s ex Jeffrey Tapley accused her of neglecting their son, also named Jeffrey, and went to court seeking physical custody.
A temporary emergency order was denied in May, and now Tapley’s petition was thrown out altogether.
The judge determined on Monday that “there has not been a material change in circumstances” to warrant changing the custody arrangement.
The comedienne-actress reportedly claims she has no connection to the baby, and Sally only wants her deemed the mother for his own financial gain.
That case is still pending.
In the midst of the personal turmoil, Shepherd announced she won’t be returning to “The View” in the fall.
