Sherri Shepherd is engaged!

“The View” and “The Newlywed Game” host is set to marry TV writer Lamar Sally, who popped the question at his Los Angeles home on December 26.

Sally had arranged special decorations and placed the engagement ring box in the middle of a dish of M&Ms, Shepherd’s favorite candy.

He asked Shepherd’s five-year-old son Jeffrey for permission to marry his mom.

Shepherd’s friend Niecy Nash introduced the couple, who plan to wed in Chicago this August.
