Shalyah Fearing And Emily Keener “Voice” Knockout Video: Watch Amazing Steal!
Shalyah Fearing and Emily Keener gave incredible “Knockout” performances on “The Voice” on Monday, leading to an amazing steal. Watch below!
As Gossip Cop has reported, the 17-year-old Keener turned all four chairs and received a standing ovation during her blind audition. She chose to join Team Pharrell, and sailed through the “Battle” round. Meanwhile, after Team Christina artist Fearing, 15, lost her “Battle” showdown despite an impressive performance, Pharrell stole her for his team.
Now the coach selected the two young women to face-off with individual performances. During mentoring sessions with key adviser Miley Cyrus, Fearing was told to change the melody to Martina McBride’s “A Broken Wing” as needed to “tell more of your story.” With Keener, Cyrus suggested she do a more dramatic opening of Joni Mitchell’s “Big Yellow Taxi” with just her guitar before the band joined in.
Both artists welcome the notes and pulled off their respective performances, but it was Fearing who received a standing ovation from the entire panel. Adam Levine called her a “revelation,” and even added, “I dare Pharrell to make you available to me!” Christina Aguilera said it was the “best knockout I’ve seen,” and said to her former artist, “I really thought this was the finale show and you just won ‘The Voice.'”
But in a hugely shocking turn, Pharrell named Keener the winner! Aguilera had already used her to lone “Knockout” steal so she couldn’t get her artist back, but Levine wasn’t willing to pass her up. “I was shocked Shalyha was available,” he said. “She was the performance of the night!” Check out both videos below!
