Shailene Woodley is a “diva already,” reports Star. According to the tabloid, “sources say that fame got to the head” of the Divergent actress “well before her movie was No. 1 at the box office.”

Star claims “Shailene’s diva attitude was on display during the film’s March 18 premiere party at the Hammer Museum in Westwood, Calif.” The magazine alleges that Woodley “set up her very own VIP section — away from her costars in the official VIP area — and refused to talk to anyone.”

“Shailene treated the event like she was Mariah Carey,” a so-called “eyewitness” tells the outlet. “She was walked to the area by her handlers and stayed there all night. She didn’t mingle with fans, and bouncers even stopped them from trying to take pictures.”

Star says Woodley’s “privileged attitude isn’t a surprise to those who have known her for years,” and goes on to say that she “began to change” at 15 years old when her parents divorced. “The divorce was tough for Shailene and her brother, and that’s about the time she took on more of a negative, entitled attitude,” explains a “source” for the magazine. Um, if this “diva” story seems completely at odds with pretty much everything we know about Woodley, that’s because Star is totally off base.

A source close to the situation tells Gossip Cop that Woodley spoke to tons of people at the Divergent premiere party and took photos with anyone who asked, and was seated exactly where the studio put her. It’s just another example of Star trying to make someone out to be a diva — and diverging from the truth in the process.
