New “Sex and the City” to Star Blake Lively, Selena Gomez, Emma Roberts and Elizabeth Olsen?

Truth rating: 0

By Daniel Gates

There’s been a lot of speculation about a possible Sex and the City prequel to be based on Candace Bushnell‘s novels detailing the early lives of the famous female quartet at the center of the HBO series and feature films.

Well, the Daily Mail got tired of waiting for news and decided to fabricate some.

According to the paper, Blake Lively is “rumoured” for the role of Samantha Jones with Emma Roberts as Miranda Hobbes and Selena Gomez as Charlotte York.

Elizabeth Olsen, meanwhile, would take Sarah Jessica Parker‘s place as Carrie Bradshaw.

The outlet makes it sound as if the project is gearing up to roll with these actresses as producers’ “current preferences.”

All of which is news to Lively, Roberts, Gomez and Olsen!

There is “no truth” to the report, reps for Lively, Olsen and Roberts tell Gossip Cop.

Gomez’s spokesperson says it’s nothing more than a “rumor.”

In other words, the Mail is 0 for 4.
