Seth Meyers Frontrunner to Be Kelly Ripa Co-Host on Live!

Seth Meyers is the frontrunner to become Kelly Ripa’s co-host on “Live!,” a source close to the situation confirms to Gossip Cop.

Ripa has been looking for a permanent co-host since Regis Philbin said goodbye to “Live!” last November.

Following Meyers on the wish list are former football star Michael Strahan and singer Josh Groban.

We’re told all the parties involved in the decision-making process feel Meyers has stood far ahead of his competitors during the various times he’s already co-hosted.

“Live!” will make an announcement about Ripa’s new co-host in September.

News of Meyers being considered the top pick was first reported by Showbiz411.

    All 3 people on the list are all great when they’re on the show. I just wouldn’t think that Josh Groban would have any time for it since he’s a singer & is usually busy. Michael Strahan & Seth Meyers were my top choices besides Josh.

    Love Seth, watching her and Regis they made a great TV show couple and I see the same with Seth and Kelly oh dear then that means that Seth will leave SNL?

    No, Seth would still be on SNL if he were to be chosen to replace Regis.
    I don’t think he was forced off, the show started with him. I think he figured it was time for him to leave.

    I heard he wanted more money but they didn’t want to pay him so he decided it’s been 25 years it’s time to go. But he really s not ready to retire he still wants to be out there. I do miss him – he and Kelly were funny.

    Yeah that’s why he’s always corrected people when they said he was retiring because he wasn’t quitting, just moving on. Him & Kelly did have great chemistry, but I guess all things must come to an end. I do hope they choose one of the 3 that’s mentioned in this article.

    I geniunely like Kelly….and honestly, no offense to the contenders but a pet rock could sit next to her and she would continue to make the show fun & entertaining…she’s a natural. Soooooo if I were forced to pick it would ne Michael Strahan…..they have great chemistry.

    Sondi~ I love Kelly, but do not like or what Seth Myers to be her co-host! I love Michael Strahan they make a great pair and also Patrick Neil Harris!!

    To be honest, why not Mark, her hubby! I mean they met together as coworkers and fell madly in love and have three beautiful children, I just love their spark. I do like Seth alot, on SNL and he is funny, but can Seth be serious for a sec???

But here’s the best part, this Roger guy who stole the item from BlindGossip was, according to Google, FIRED from Fox for STEALING “Wolverine” illegally on the web to write a film review. FIRED. FOR.
