Selena Gomez is NOT demanding Zayn Malik “apologize” to Taylor Swift, despite a new report. Gossip Cop can debunk the claim, which comes from the fabrication factory known as HollywoodLife.

A so-called “insider” is quoted as telling the webloid, “Selena has always been cool with Zayn. She’s even considered collaborating with him, but now she’s having major second thoughts after he dissed Taylor.” The alleged source goes on to claim, “Right now, she says there’s no way in hell she would work with him on anything. He needs to first apologize to Taylor and Calvin [Harris], before she would even consider doing anything music-wise with him.”

Here’s what’s REALLY going on: Malik made headlines this week for seemingly shading Swift on Twitter, and then feuding with her boyfriend, Harris. Gomez also made headlines for saying in a recent interview that she’d be open to collaborating with Malik, who is working on a solo career. HollywoodLife simply decided to combine the topics into one made-up piece, purporting to have “exclusive” details that would get readers’ attention.

It’s a ploy for cheap traffic, particularly via Google, which rewards sites for publishing “original” content, regardless of its accuracy. And HollywoodLife’s piece is NOT accurate. Gomez and Malik never had any actual plans to hit the studio together, and she’s in no way getting involved in his dust-up with Swift and Harris.

Of course, HollywoodLies is the same outlet that wrote countless stories about Swift and Gomez supposedly feuding, fabricated claims that Gossip Cop correct. Conveniently, that detail is not mentioned in the webloid’s latest piece. Also ignored is Gossip Cop’s favorite Gomez quote of all time: “HollywoodLife is never true. Ever.”
