Selena Gomez and The Weeknd are not “over already,” despite a new and entirely untrue report. Gossip Cop can correct this misguided claim about them having split up. We’re told it’s “laughably wrong.”

According to the unintentionally funny RadarOnline, The Weeknd and Gomez’s relationship has “already begun to unravel.” The webloid notes The Weeknd celebrated his 27th birthday with “a star-studded bash at Dave & Buster’s in Hollywood on February 14th,” and lists some of the celebrities who attended, including 2 Chainz and French Montana. And then the often disproven site digs itself into a hole.

As proof that they’re supposedly “over already,” the outlet claims Gomez “hopped a flight out of L.A., opting out of his special night as well as their first Valentine’s Day together.” The inaccurate webloid then quotes one of its either ill-informed or possibly made-up sources as saying The Weeknd had “plenty of female attention,” including one particular brunette who “flirted with him.”

The article goes on about how Gomez instead had a “super romantic” Valentine’s Day with her assistant, but we’ll stop here and begin to point out how wrong the site is. For starters, The Weekend’s party was on February 13, not Valentine’s Day. And more importantly, Gomez and The Weeknd are still going strong and are absolutely not “over already,” as alleged. In fact, the two were photographed over the weekend making out on a boat in Marina Del Rey, California. Also, the reason Gomez was not at the bash at Dave & Buster’s was because she went to New York for Fashion Week. Oh, and one last detail about the party for The Weeknd (whose birthday is actually on February 16): Gomez paid for the entire bash, which Gossip Cop is told cost her around $30,000.

A source close to Gomez exclusively tells us the RadarOnline article is “laughably wrong” in so many ways. Sadly, we’re not surprised by the inaccuracy of the story. Remember, it’s coming from the same webloid that Gossip Cop busted when it falsely reported Gomez caused the divorce between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie because should “can’t keep her hands to herself.”
